Ministry Staff

Hannah Mears
Hannah Mears: Co Vicar

Hannah leads the life of the parish with her husband Olly, combining ministry and motherhood. She focuses on the church's strategic development, and has a lead role in growing community life within the church. She is passionate about helping people come to know Jesus and equipping them to grow as disciples. She's originally from Devon, studied theology in Durham and worked for a church and a mission to homeless people in Edinburgh. She loves folk music and good comedy.

Olly Mears
Olly Mears: Co-Vicar

Olly oversees the church alongside his wife Hannah, also combining work in the parish with fatherhood. His ministry has a particular emphasis on the church's vision and mission. Olly discovered a passion for Jesus and living life with him when he was a student, and has worked in churches in Oxford, Peckham in inner London, and Cornwall, seeking to introduce Jesus to people who don't know him yet. He is generally enthusiastic about everything - but especially birdwatching, real ale and walking the family dog, Phoebe.

Emma Higgins

Emma Higgins - Curate

Emma joined m2o in summer 2015 after her ordination at Coventry Cathedral. Prior to that she completed two years of theological training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge. She is originally from Cheshire and spent five years living in Edinburgh, first studying Divinity at the University and latterly working for St Paul’s and St George’s Church.

She’s passionate about people realising their potential and being all they are called to be. During her theological studies she’s written on feminist interpretations of the Bible and also focused more specifically on African women’s theology. Emma enjoys reading, trying out new recipes in the kitchen and getting back to Scotland whenever she can!

Charles Higgins
Charles Higgins - Curate

Charles is originally from the South East and joined m2o as a Curate in summer 2015. Before moving to Rugby, Charles trained for ministry at Ridley Hall in Cambridge, following four years as a theology student in Exeter. He is keen to encourage people to explore Christian faith and to use their gifts and talents to serve God and the community around them. Charles is married to Emma and is a big fan of music, stories in books and films, and setting the world to rights over some good food.
